Communications Consultant: Digital Media and Marketing

IABT (India and Bharat Together) is a Delhi-based nonprofit organization working in the area of rural youth empowerment. Driven by a belief in evidence-based interventions, we follow an applied research model to design and implement programs to enable Uttarakhand youth to increase their awareness of livelihood pathways and pursue self-employment through entrepreneurship.

We are now looking for a Communications Consultant to work with us, starting January 2021

. You will be:

- Working on the design and roll-out of an end-to-end communications strategy for IABT as an organisation, leveraging digital and social media tools for multi-stakeholder engagement as well as offline means of increasing our visibility in field locations

- Responsible for all social media engagement, ensuring a platform-specific strategy for content development, deployment and audience engagement

- Innovating to lend a face and a voice to the youth stories that emerge from our programs, through video testimonials, written profiles, blogs, audio podcasts and short films

- Spearheading all marketing and branding initiatives for IABT, in external as well as internal fora

You must be:

- A storyteller with the ability to sift out the most impactful methods of communication and engagement for a diverse set of stakeholders

- Impact-oriented and inquisitive about the effectiveness of marketing tools and strategies you deploy

- Comfortable working across a range of media, from the written word and video content to data-based infographics

- someone who can present the most mundane data in a compelling way!

- Driven by creativity and the possibility of social change through great communication

- Experienced in working with software and digital tools such as the Adobe suite, video editing software as well as photography and video equipment

It would be great if you:

- Come with an impressive portfolio and at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience

- Have experience working in the Himalayan region, especially the state of Uttarakhand

- Are curious and a self-starter!

Additional information:

We are looking for an initial engagement of at least 3 to 4 months, which can be converted to a full-time position based on need and performance. In light of the ongoing Covid-19 circumstance, this will be a remote engagement.
