About the Organization:  Postman Foundation is a non-profit philanthropic startup foundation funded by Mother and Sons CSR  working with the vision of facilitating quality school education for all children and empowering Farmers in India. They are driven by a mission to transform the quality of education and Agriculture in India with a focus on improving the growth of all children and farmers especially from low-income communities.

Position: Program Specialists (Education) - Delhi, Uttar pradesh and Bihar, 

Number of vacancy (10).

Job Description:

The Program Specialists - PS will be positioned at the Blocks and work closely with the District Lead and Project Manager. S/he will be engaging with the respective schools in their blocks in different districts as part Postman Allies. S/he will support the District Lead in the execution of the  Education program at the block level and coordination with various stakeholders (government and non-profit partners) to sustain the impact and interventions from the program.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Program Specialist will serve as a  resource person at the Block-level and support Cluster and Block Officials in delivering various program activities, innovative practices and will have the following key responsibilities, but not limited to:

On-ground implementation:

• Interact with key stakeholders - government departments and officials such as Block Resource Coordinators (BRCs), Block Education Officials (BEOs), and others on a day-to-day basis to ensure timely delivery on program objectives

• Work closely with teachers and Cluster Academic Coordinators and Block Academic Coordinators to implement FLN program and innovations

• Identify operational bottlenecks, wherever applicable and suggest solutions to District team

• Ensure proper implementation of community engagement activities

Communication & Documentation:

• Documentation and communication of program achievements/outcomes through reports

• Documentation of on-ground learnings and knowledge received from the ground to support the team’s internal capacity and knowledge building

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

• A Bachelor's degree or above, in any discipline from tier I & tier II Universities 

• At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in development sector with prior experience with on-ground program implementation

• Knowledge of school education, foundational literacy concepts

• Prior experience in working with the Educational NGOs will be preferred but Open for all.

• Fluency in Hindi and basic communication in English is preferred

• An ability to work in teams is essential, as well as the ability to work independently and to multi-task

• Willingness to travel within and outside the district; this position will require extensive (50-60%) field travel

Salary Bandwidth:Negotiable between INR 50,000-60,000 Per Month based on Experience 

Type of employment:  Contractual for one year then permanent depends upon the performance.
