Job Description: Report and Documentation Officer 
 
About the Organization & Project: T-Social Impact Group (T-SIG) is an innovative framework initiated by Department of IT, E&C, Government of Telangana to make CSR interventions across the state effective and sustainable by connecting all the industrial bodies of Hyderabad and Telangana together with the different Government departments and non-profit partners of the state, facilitating knowledge sharing and building synergies among them.  
 
    T-SIG has been built and is managed by the Surge Impact Foundation, a Section 8 Not-for-Profit Company, which works with a mission to enable individuals & institutions of India to achieve Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 by offering a range of consultancy solutions on social innovation and leadership to large enterprises, institutions and governments across India. 
 
Duties and Responsibilities: Under the overall guidance of the Project Lead and under the direct supervision of the Project Manager of T-Social Impact Group, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:

 Assist Project Manager to prepare quarterly progress report, annual progress report and other reporting requirements;

 Prepare communication strategy and tools for the project;

 Work closely with Project Manager to strengthen results management and reporting; 

 Ensure effective communications, visibility and knowledge management;

 Support Project Manager and project team in preparing concept notes and other project related documents;

 Support program staff in organizing and managing seminars, workshops, press conferences;

 Produce reports and stories of the seminars/workshops organized by the project;

 Provide technical support to the project team in producing various evaluation and knowledge products of the project;

 Ensure proper documentation of the communications materials and knowledge products;

 Prepare and edit press releases, program related progress reports and documents;

 Perform any other duties assigned by the project management unit and Project Manager as per need of the program 
 
Required Skills and Experience:

a. Education:    The candidate should have a Master’s degree preferably in mass communications/journalism sociology, social work, anthropology, or rural development 
 
b. Experience:

 0-2 years of work experience

 Some working experience in the media will be an asset;

 Candidate should have some working experience in communication and diffusion strategies and techniques, reporting, documentation, publication, in relation to development fields;

 Candidate should possess excellent writing, editing, and speaking skills in English;

 Candidate should be well versed in the latest electronic publishing methods;

 Should have basic knowledge/skills of data interpretation in Microsoft Excel; 
 
c. Development and Operational Effectiveness: 
 Excellent interpersonal skills;

 Focuses on impact and results and responds positively to feedback;

 Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude;

 Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and external actors;

 Remains calm, in control and good humored even under pressure;

 Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complexities. 
 
  Location: Hyderabad, Telangana 
 
Salary: Based on applicant’s experience and current industry standards; Negotiable
