J ob Title: “Accountant Officer”
Location: District-based (Barabanki/ Lucknow) with extensive local travel
Repor ting To: Senior Program Lead
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to ₹25,000 per month (inclusive of TDS)

Role Summar y:
The Accountant Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records,
managing accounts and ensuring timely data entry, analysis and reporting through
accounting systems. The role supports program implementation by ensuring financial
compliance, transparency and reliable data management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Finance
 Maintain day-to-day books of accounts, including cash book, bank book and
ledger.
 Process vouchers, bills, payments and receipts in line with organizational &
FPOs policies.
 Handle bank transactions, reconciliations and petty cash management.
 Prepare monthly financial statements and expenditure reports.
 Support budget tracking and fund utilization monitoring.
 Ensure compliance with donor guidelines, statutory requirements and internal
controls.
 Assist in audits and respond to audit queries.
2. Data Management
 Maintain project data related to finance and program indicators.
 Ensure timely and accurate data entry into online portals.
 Generate periodic data reports for management and donors.
 Support program teams with data compilation and analysis.
 Maintain proper documentation and digital/physical records.
3. Coor dination & Repor ting
 Coordinate with program and field teams for data and financial information.
 Support timely submission of utilization certificates, financial reports and
dashboards.
 Assist in donor and management reporting requirements.
Requir ed Qualifications & Exper ience:
 Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) / Accounting / Finance.
 Minimum 3–5 year s of relevant experience in accounting and MIS.
 Experience working with NGOs, FPOs or donor-funded programs preferred.
 Knowledge of Tally / accounting software and Excel-based MIS.
Key Skills & Competencies:
 Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
 Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and accounting software (Tally/Busy).
 Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
 Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
 Good communication and coordination skills.
Desir able Attr ibutes:
 Experience with donor compliance (CSR, FCRA, multilateral donors).
 Familiarity with online reporting portals and dashboards.
 Understanding of development sector programs.
