Role DescriptionThe scope of this position is to manage all elements of volunteering within Kotak Education Foundation. The role involves assessing the organization’s needs and then meeting those
needs through the sourcing, placement and retention of volunteers. Be responsible for end to end volunteering activity management in KEF and supervising the team members.

Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) was founded by Uday Kotak. He is the Founder Trustee of KEF, Managing Director & CEO, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. He has led the group in a broad range of financial services for over 30 years. Uday believes that the true measure of performance is value creation. Kotak Education Foundation’s (KEF) mission is to support children and youth from underprivileged families through different education based interventions to rise above the poverty line and lead a life of dignity through sustainable processes. KEF works with some of India’s most economically underprivileged communities, attempting to alleviate poverty through education and livelihood programs.
KEF works with multiple regional language government-aided private institutions. These schools have been set up by social entrepreneurs and lack quality teaching, infrastructure and leadership. Through its various programs across education, innovative healthcare and livelihood training programs, the foundation supplements the efforts ofthese schools to improve their conditions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Need assessment, designing and planning for new volunteering projects as per the organizational requirements
- Creating project proposals/ presentations for pitching to corporates/Institutes
- Interface with KEF interventions for various organizational requirement
- Source and recruit volunteers through various techniques (databases, e-mail, social media )
- Plan and schedule volunteering opportunities
- Facilitate volunteer’s participation by organizing volunteers’ orientations, effective coordination between stakeholders
- End to End implementation of the activities/ Projects
- Communicate frequently with volunteers to ensure they are satisfied and well-placed
- Monitoring the activities on filed
- Creating periodic reports and dashboard of volunteering activities and presentation
- Keep detailed records of volunteers’ information and assignments(MIS)
- Support and guide the team
CandidateSpecifications:
Educational Qualification Graduate/Post Graduate/MBA with 5+ years of experience in volunteering/ social sector
Years of Experience 5+ years relevant experience
Technical Skills
- Excellent communication skills (English, Hindi, Marathi).
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
