The Azim Premji Health Equity Fellowship offers young MBBS doctors the opportunity to work with vulnerable communities in rural, remote, and underserved urban areas while learning the complexities of practising medicine in resource-scarce settings. The fellowship is designed to provide site-based clinical exposure, mentorship from experienced doctors, community engagement experience, and structured learning in family medicine through a year-long immersive programme supported by reputed institutions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• The Fellow will work in reputed hospitals under the guidance of experienced medical mentors
• The role involves providing clinical care to vulnerable communities in remote and underserved geographies
• The Fellow will participate in community-based health interventions and public health exposure
• The position includes travelling to remote locations across participating institutions
• The Fellow will engage with a cohort of like-minded doctors and health professionals
• The role includes completing a structured certificate programme in family medicine
• The Fellow will participate in placement processes after successful completion of the fellowship

• The fellowship duration is 12
• The monthly honorarium provided is 40000
• The completion-linked honorarium is 120000
• The programme includes certification on successful completion
