About the role:
The Field Officer (Coordinator) will work under the Assistant Manager and Manager. The primary role is to act as a mentor to students enrolled under The Junior Scholarship Program. This involves conducting home visits for students, guiding them in their studies, and supporting the intake process and overall operation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Coordinator will perform a wide range of duties including:
- Home Visits & Student Mentoring:
- Conduct regular home visits and/or mentoring sessions to monitor students' academic progress and overall well-being.
- Foster a supportive relationship to help students stay motivated and excel academically.

- Academic Planning & Support:
- Assist students in developing effective academic timetables and individualized development/action plans.
- Guide students in goal setting, time management, and self-study techniques.
- Address students academic doubts or direct them to appropriate study materials and educational resources.

- Scholarship Implementation & Intake:
- Execute project activities in alignment with the program objectives.
- Actively participate in the student intake and onboarding processes.
- Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize students with the online application procedures.

- Application & Selection Assistance:
- Support students in registering for the scholarship, completing and submitting online applications, and collecting mandatory supporting documents.
- Carry out key selection tasks, including document verification, conducting telephonic interviews, and visiting students homes as part of the selection assessment.

- Project Reporting & Control:
- Work on quantitative data for monitoring the program.
- Prepare qualitative case studies and student profiles as and when required.

Candidate Specification:
Education & Experience:
Educational Background: A Post-graduation or other relevant qualification in social sciences, social work, education, or a similar field is required.
Experience: You should have at least 6 years of experience in social work, project planning, and working directly with youth.
Skills & Competencies:
Technical Skills: You must possess strong computer skills and be comfortable using Microsoft Office Applications (especially Excel) and web-based applications for MIS.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal articulation skills in English are mandatory.
Problem-Solving: We require strong reasoning, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
Relationship Management: The ability to manage relationships and handle conflict situations in a mature and amicable way is essential.
