ICS Manager (5) Function: To work with organic farmers for production & certification of crops Reporting to: Project Manager Location: Madhya Pradesh & Maharashtra The Change Makers Charitable Foundation (TCMCF) was established as not for profit organization in the year 2019 with a purpose to develop human capital and promote sustainable farm practices. With its head office in Bhopal, it currently works with more than 12,000 farmers in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. It is building the portfolio of Contract farming along with trading of organic commodities and farmer cooperatives. It has planned to double the farmer base in the FY of 2022-23 and bring varied crops under the contract farming portfolio. To take care of the expansion plans, TCMCF is looking forward to onboard young, enthusiastic and delivery oriented professionals who are keen to work with the farmers to promote contract farming through sustainable farm practices. Job Description: The scope of work includes but not limited to: Farmer Training  Conduct training with the farmers on different crops as per organic standards  Prepare and manage training records of the farmers  Develop Demo Plots with the farmers and conduct exposure visit to these plots  Help train the farmers to prepare different organic concoctions at the their farm levels  Regular visits to the farmers’ plots to ensure quality production with improved productivity  Guide farmer on plant protection and nutrient management as per NPOP guidelines Certification  To train farmers on the processes and systems of organic certification  To maintain the farm records and other necessary documents of the farmers  To conduct Internal Audit of the farmers  To complete the third party audit by the certification body successfully  Prepare and deliver Daily Procurement Report Post Harvest Management & Procurement  Train farmers on post harvest management to ensure the quality of produce is good  To ensure On-farm procurement of crops with prior PR Tests  Coordinate with the supply chain team for proper uptake of commodity Key responsibilities:  Plan and Develop the training calendar for both crop production and organic certification  Planned Production and its achievement along with its certification is the most essential aspect of the job  Advance planning with minute details and knife sharp execution strategies shall be the backbone of this job  Monitor progress vs. plan  Ability to course correction to achieve targets  Coordinate with Finance, HR and other department for smooth flow of work  Documentation including maintenance of files (physical and softcopies) is a crucial part of the job and adequate time should be invested in the process  Ability to proactively undertake additional responsibilities to achieve targets To qualify for the role you must have:  BSc./ MSc.
