Location: District-based (Jhansi/Lalitpur/Mahoba/Barabanki/Jaunpur) with extensive
local travel
Repor ting To: Senior Program Lead/ Project Lead– Marketing
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to ₹15,000 per month (inclusive of TDS)

Role Pur pose:
The Marketing District Lead will be responsible for driving sales, market expansion
and brand visibility at the district and block level. The role focuses on last-mile
market linkages, retailer/distributor management, institutional sales and supporting
producer groups (FPOs) to achieve sustainable market access and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Distr ict & Block Level Sales & Mar ket Development
 Implement the approved marketing and sales plan at the district level.
 Develop and manage retailer, wholesaler and distributor networks.
 Identify new market opportunities in haats, mandis, stores & local institutions.
 Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets.
2. Institutional & Bulk Sales
 Identify and engage institutional buyers (hotels, caterers, schools etc.).
 Support order negotiation, delivery coordination and payment follow-up.
 Ensure repeat orders through relationship management and service quality.
3. Br and Pr omotion & Visibility
 Execute on-ground promotions such as product demos, tastings, fairs and
exhibitions.
 Support branding initiatives including posters, banners, point-of-sale material,
and local campaigns.
 Promote the brand story, especially women-led and community-owned
enterprise values.
4. Coor dination with Pr oduction & Supply Teams
 Share market demand forecasts with the production team.
 Ensure smooth coordination for order fulfillment, packaging and dispatch.
 Collect customer feedback on quality, pricing and packaging and relay it to the
project team.
5. Team Suppor t & Capacity Building
 Support and guide field sales executives, women sellers and community
marketers.
 Build basic marketing and selling skills among women producer members.
 Encourage local youth participation in sales and distribution activities.
6. Monitor ing, Repor ting & Documentation
 Maintain daily and monthly sales and market activity records.
 Prepare district & block-level marketing reports.
 Document market learnings, challenges and success stories

 Active retailer and distributor network in the district
 Increased sales volume and market coverage
 Strong local brand presence
 Stable institutional and bulk buyers
 Well-coordinated supply-demand flow
Requir ed Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Rural Management or related field
 3-5 years of experience in sales, marketing or market linkage development
 Experience in FMCG, agri-products, food products or social
enterprises preferred
Key Skills & Competencies:
 Field sales and market development
 Relationship building and negotiation
 Communication in Hindi and local language (English preferred)
 Basic reporting and documentation skills
 Willingness to travel extensively within the district
Pr efer r ed Exper ience:
 Working with FPOs, cooperatives or rural enterprises
 Exposure to packaged food or agri-value chain products
 Experience in haat, mandis and rural retail markets
