Area of Work:

  • Livelihood – Working with women, youths, farmers and tribal population; and helping them to start and improve their business at an individual and group level. Building their capacity on technical and business aspects of agriculture and allied Building sustainable community level institutions such as FPOs, Producer Groups, SHGs. Providing employment linked skill development courses to the youths and help nurture local level entrepreneurs. Promoting livelihood and employment opportunities in the area of waste processing.
  • Environment and Natural Resource Management – Working with the communities to conserve and revive natural resources such as water, land, forest and Use of renewable sources of energy and help them to adopt sustainable livelihood activities. Helping communities to adopt practise of less usage of single use plastics.
  • Education – Providing remedial classes to the neediest students coming from the underserved and vulnerable communities. Helping them with quality education and engaging them sports activities. Running Youth Resource Centres, and which provide necessary education, counselling and training related services of students from under-served communities.
  • Inclusive Community Development – Addressing critical need in the communities where we operate. Running a school for especially abled children and youths.

About the Role:

The MIS Coordinator will play an essential role in supporting the project teams by managing data systems, ensuring timely data entry, validation, analysis, and reporting. The individual will work closely with Community Facilitators, Field Coordinators, Team-Lead and Managers (CSR) to ensure that project information is accurate, up-to-date, and supports evidence-based decision-making. The role requires strong technical and analytical skills and an understanding of development programs in livelihoods, education and rural development.

Key Responsibilities (non-exhaustive list):

  • Develop and manage Management Information Systems (MIS) to capture all field- level activities across different thematic areas (agriculture, livestock, SHG strengthening, etc.).
  • Support field teams in planning and uploading/ submitting data in MIS formats; provide regular handholding to Community Facilitators and Field Coordinators for accurate reporting.
  • Ensure timely collection, entry, validation, and compilation of data at block, GP, and village levels.
  • Analyze MIS data to generate periodic reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to donors and senior management.
  • Coordinate with Field Coordinators to track progress of program indicators and flag any data inconsistencies or gaps.
  • Maintain dashboards and data visualizations to support program reviews and decision-
  • Support in the design of new formats, mobile-based data collection tools (like Kobo Toolbox, ODK), and digital tracking systems.
  • Provide technical support during baseline surveys, need assessments, impact evaluations, and other studies conducted by internal or external agencies.
  • Archive and back up datasets, photos, and documents from the field in a structured and accessible manner.
  • Any other work whichever is being assigned by the reporting authority as and when

Key Requisites:

Education: Any Graduate/Postgraduate/ BCA/ Rural Management, or a related field

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in handling MIS systems, data reporting, and analytics, preferably in the development sector

Thematic Expertise (essential): Experience in rural development, agriculture, SHG/Institutional strengthening, health, or education projects.

Professional Attributes (essential):

  1. High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
  2. Strong commitment to timelines and output delivery
  3. Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams

Skill sets (essential):

  1. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel – Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, Charts)
  2. Familiarity with digital data collection tools (e.g., Kobo Toolbox, ODK)
  3. Competence in data visualization platforms like Power BI
  4. Strong analytical skills

Preferred:

  1. Knowledge on data management tools
  2. Experience in mobile/web-based MIS systems and dashboards.
