  • Capacity  Building:  Organize and lead training sessions and workshops for ministry staff and community workers  to  enhance program delivery  and impact
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Develop  and  utilize monitoring and evaluation tools to assess program outcomes and ensure alignment with strategic goals
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain robust relationships with governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community representatives
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, policy briefs, and documentation to communicate program progress and challenges to stakeholders

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Development Practitioner to work closely with the Ministry of Women and Child   Development.   This   role involves collaborating with government   officials, stakeholders, and communities to implement and enhance development    programmes aimed at improving the welfare of   women   and   children.   The responsibilities, while indicative and not exhaustive, include:

  • Program Implementation: Collaborate with ministry officials to design and implement effective development programs for women and children‘s welfare
  • Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive research to identify community needs, policy gaps, and potential program enhancements
  • Policy  Advocacy:  Advocate for policies that empower women and children by working with various stakeholders and presenting evidence-based recommendations

Qualification & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Development Studies, Social Work, Public Policy, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in the development sector, particularly focusing on women and children.
  3. Strong understanding of policy development and implementation processes
  4. Experience in stakeholder engagement and community mobilization Proven skills in research, analysis, and advocacy
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a governmental setting
  6. Passionate about gender equality and the well-being of women and children
  7. Innovative and strategic thinker
  8. Strong organizational and project management skills
  9. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
