Job Description
The Program Manager will lead the Program Management Unit (PMU) for the Malaria Mukt Gadchiroli Abhiyan, driving implementation, monitoring, and coordination of interventions.| The role requires managing partnerships, strengthening health systems, advancing malaria elimination strategies, and ensuring evidence-based planning with district and state stakeholders.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead and manage PMU operations across program management, M&E, capacity building, and innovation.
- Coordinate with the District Malaria Elimination Council, task forces, and partners to align interventions.
- Develop and oversee microplans in high-burden blocks, integrating with IHIP, DVDMS, and EWARS systems.
- Ensure data collection, analysis, dashboards, and reporting for evidence-based decision-making.
- Facilitate capacity-building, multilingual training, and operational research pilots (geo-tagged reporting, best practice documentation).
- Manage financial planning, budget compliance, and expenditure tracking.
- Prepare detailed reports for funding agencies, government bodies, and task forces.
- Build strong partnerships and maintain intersectoral collaboration with government and NGOs.
- Foster a high-performance team culture aligned with CHAI/WJCF values.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Master’s in Public Health/MD Community Medicine/relevant field.
- 8–10 years’ experience managing public health programs, with at least 3 years in tribal/rural settings.
- Strong expertise in malaria epidemiology, vector-borne disease control, and health systems.
- Proven experience in stakeholder coordination, strategic planning, capacity building, and program management.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Fluency in Marathi (speaking, reading, writing) is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel extensively in remote areas.
