Job Description
Position: Project Coordinator
Location:Etah, UP
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Implementation & Coordination
Facilitate processes to achieve project objectives through identified interventions and strategies under the guidance of PM and PD.
Ensure timely preparation and implementation of monthly plans and progress reports.
Regularly monitor project activities, both qualitatively and quantitatively, through field visits and review mechanisms.
Maintain project’s physical and financial tracking in coordination with the finance team.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies (HR, Finance, Gender) in project implementation.
2. Community Mobilization & Capacity Building
Build capacity of project team members, CRPs, and community groups on various project aspects.
Facilitate community participation in project planning, implementation, and monitoring.
Lead awareness and behavior change efforts on water conservation, protection, management, and water-use efficiency practices.
Strengthen community ownership through participatory processes.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy
Liaise with Panchayat and district officials to ensure cooperation and smooth project execution.
Build strong, harmonious relationships with local governance institutions and stakeholders.
Coordinate with government departments, local organizations, and external bodies to mobilize resources and scale up project impacts.
Support lobbying and advocacy efforts to integrate project objectives with government and local development agendas.
4. Team Management & Reporting
Manage and provide leadership support to the project implementation team.
Regulate and monitor the role of CRPs, ensuring their effective engagement.
Coordinate with PM and PD on a monthly basis for progress updates and planning.
Facilitate both internal and external monitoring visits, ensuring transparency and learning.
Document learnings, challenges, and success stories for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Agriculture, Water Management, or related fields.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in development sector projects, preferably in water stewardship, livelihoods or community mobilization.
Skills & Competencies
Strong facilitation and community mobilization skills.
Proven ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder projects.
Excellent communication, reporting, and documentation skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Knowledge of government schemes and rural governance systems.
Ability to travel extensively to project villages.
