Senior Social Worker

Location: Mumbai  

Job Summary: 

As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in our mission to empower and uplift women and  children in need. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive support, advocacy, and guidance  to individuals facing difficult situations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Management:  

• Develop and implement location-specific strategies based on the organization's objectives.

• Develop and manage chatbot strategies for aftercare support. 

• Write project proposals, conduct due diligence on shelter homes and partner organizations,  create and maintain project budgets and trackers.  

• Take notes and statements from victims, maintain reports, and send them to MDU on time. 

• Keep detailed records of Aftercare activities and work, and share updates with MDU. 

• Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding Aftercare work updates and challenges. 

• Experience in team handling is preferred.  

• Provide training and guidance to interns and volunteers in aftercare work. 

Relationships:  

• Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and like-minded organizations. 

• Follow up and visit Child Welfare Committees, District Child Protection Officers and Child  Welfare Officers.  

Desired Skills & Experience: 

• Ideally based in Mumbai.  

• Knowledgeable in technical software SPSS SAP etc

• Experience networking with WCD and the Child Rights Commission (stakeholder engagement). 

• Willingness to travel across India.  

• Flexibility to occasionally work in the US time zone. 

• MSW from a reputed college.  

• 2 to 7 years as a caseworker, working closely with women and children.  

• Stakeholder management and networking with government bodies and NGOs.  

• Positive attitude and strong team-management abilities.  

• Excellent communication skills in English and Marathi
