Job Position: District Manager

Location: Taljhari & Rajmahal, Sahibganj District, Jharkhand

Salary Range: ₹35,000 – ₹40,000 per month (commensurate with experience)

Contract Type: Full-time, performance based (Initial 1 Year, Extendable)

Reporting To: Regional Head, Jharkhand / Project Lead – FPO Initiative

As part of its nationwide effort to empower farmers, leading Org currently promotes and supports 50+ Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) across India, focusing on business planning, market access, governance, and convergence with government schemes.

In Sahibganj, Jharkhand, 2 FPOs promoted under the Central Sector Scheme (CSS) through SFAC have been operational for over two years is looking forward to recruit an experienced but proactive individual. To promote these FPOs and ensure their long-term viability, leading Org is recruiting a dedicated District Manager who will lead business development, compliance management, equity mobilization, and strategic convergence efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the revival strategy for the two CSS-promoted FPOs in Sahibganj, ensuring business continuity, compliance, and growth.
2. Facilitate immediate business planning, procurement, and input-output marketing for the Kharif-Rabi season.
3. Ensure collection of equity share capital, track member mobilization, and ensure documentation is in order.
4. Address and manage pending legal compliances and potential litigations, if
5. Liaise and coordinate with SFAC, NABARD, Agriculture and allied departments, and other stakeholders for resource convergence.
6. Identify local opportunities in NTFP, agri-input supply, aggregation, processing, and value chain to generate sustainable revenue for the FPOs.
7. Build the capacity of existing FPO Accountant/field team, and ensure timely reporting and record-keeping.
8. Mobilize LDM, DDM-NABARD, ATMA, and KVKs for technical and financial
9. Represent FPOs in district and state-level platforms to enhance visibility and access to schemes and markets.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Graduate in Agriculture/Rural Management/Commerce/Development Studies or related
2. Preference will be given to candidates with a Postgraduate Degree in relevant

Experience & Skills:

1. Minimum 3–5    years   of    field   experience   in    FPO    promotion/agribusiness development/rural livelihoods.
2. Prior experience in working with SFAC, NABARD, or CSS-promoted FPOs is highly desirable.
3. Strong knowledge of FPO governance, compliances (audit & others), business execution, and marketing.
4. Hands-on experience in agri-input management, value chain, shareholder mobilization, and government convergence.
5. Proficient in MS Office, Tally, and digital record
6. Good communication skills in Hindi and preferably Santhali/local dialects.

Remuneration & Work Conditions:

1. Consolidated salary between ₹35,000–₹40,000 per month, based on qualifications and relevant experience.
2. Frequent field travel within Sahibganj district to respective blocks
