About Bodhi Fellowship
The Bodhi Fellowship is an upcoming initiative of BDC Impact Foundation aimed at nurturing early-stage social entrepreneurs from Bihar so they can raise resources for solving local social issues through innovative, community-rooted models post-fellowship. Over a 3-year journey, the fellowship provides financial support, mentoring, capacity-building, and a strong peer learning network for the entrepreneurs based in Bihar.
Role Summary
The Program Manager will lead the operations of fellowship program, overseeing the identification, selection, and support of fellows throughout their journey for 3 years. This role ensures high-quality implementation of the fellowship curriculum, provides input to strengthen the curriculum, tracks each fellow's progress, and sustains a vibrant, collaborative learning environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about grassroots leadership development in Bihar, motivated to build the local ecosystem, and has a strong understanding of Bihar's development landscape.

Tasks
Fellowship Curriculum Development
- Facilitate regular meetings between the operations team and the function team.
- Support the Fellowship Function team in developing and strengthening the curriculum.
- Support in designing monitoring and evaluation processes based on the fellowship curriculum.
Fellow Identification & Onboarding
- Lead outreach and selection efforts to identify committed social entrepreneurs from Bihar.
- Design and execute the selection process, including application screening, interviews, field visits.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for selected fellows.
Program Delivery
- Ensure smooth delivery of training modules, mentorship, and experiential learning components.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external facilitators to schedule and deliver sessions.
- Support fellows in setting and achieving annual goals aligned with fellowship competencies and requirements.
Monitoring and Growth Tracking
- Engage regularly with fellows to track their personal and organisational growth.
- Develop and maintain fellow progress reports, learning journals, and performance dashboards.
- Identify support needs and facilitate timely interventions or mentoring.
Community Building
- Strengthen cohort spirit through regular meetups, shared activities, and reflective spaces.
- Facilitate exchange, collaboration, and co-learning among fellows.
- Anchor BDC's broader ecosystem connections to benefit the fellows.
Documentation and Reporting
- Develop annual plans, participate in quarterly and annual review processes for the internal team.
- Develop reports for donors.
- Write and maintain visit reports, monitoring reports, and Annual Reports.
In the 20% Time
Supporting Other Functions
- Motivate and support function teams to adopt structured planning, execution, review, and tracking processes.
- Join function team calls regularly and provide support based on current needs.
- Help, build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships among all member organisations.
Candidature Requirements
- Post graduate in development studies, management, rural development or any related field
- Proven experience of >5 years of handling team and has good understanding of organizational development principles
- Highly organised, with a preference for structured planning over ad-hoc approaches, and able to execute 80-90% of planned activities.
- Deep listener who believes people grow when they feel safe and heard.
- Proactive in following up and communicating clearly with all partners.
- Values people over tasks and deliveries in collective spaces.
- Brings a coaching mindset and supports the growth of others.
- Strong understanding of Bihar's socio-political and development context.
- The candidate has a demonstrated track record of similar experiences.
