Role Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary assessments of villages and locations.
- Plan and implement awareness programs in the selected villages.
- Collaborate with Senior Programme staff to identify potential beneficiaries.
- Organize and conduct training programs, ensuring that all approved IEC materials are printed and distributed during the sessions.
- Verify that vendor orders for beekeeping boxes and other equipment are completed and delivered correctly.
- Assist technical staff in planning and monitoring their follow-up visits.
- Identify potential beekeepers and suitable sites for apiaries, and support the monitoring of their development.
- Ensure the timely execution of the bee flora program, which includes planning, distribution, and monitoring of harvest data collection.
- Supervise the maintenance of the Beekeeping Resource Center.
- Identify and foster the development of local capacities, such as Master Trainers and potential technical assistants.
- Implement the honey and wax collection plan according to the required quality standards.
- Actively participate in monitoring and evaluation activities in the field, coordinating with the field team, collecting data on time, and addressing any challenges that arise.
- Monitor and review the logbooks and accounts of field staff.
- Engage actively in team meetings and maintain accurate records of discussions and decisions.
- Assist the Senior Programme Staff with program management, office management, networking, and administrative tasks, including HR data collection..
Educational Qualifications
- Master's in Social Work or Rural development
Preference
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in the development sector
- Must be a local resident or from a nearby location.
- Basic understanding of the social sector is required.
- Proficiency in Marathi is essential.
Other Skills / Competencies
- Ability to think critically and make decisions related to on-field matters
- Basic skills in financial management
- Proficiency in report writing is advantageous
- Basic computer skills are required
- The candidate should be flexible, willing to work in a startup environment, and possess strong problem-solving abilities.
Additional Notes
- The role involves travelling to the field up to 15 days a month, to various programme areas.
- Reporting authority is the State Team Leader
- Salary Range: INR 30,000 – 38,000 per month as per experience
