Role Overview:

The Sports Teacher will promote students’ physical fitness, teamwork, and leadership skills through structured sports training and activities. The role involves conducting regular coaching sessions, organizing sports events, and identifying and nurturing student talent. The coach will also collaborate with school staff to encourage active participation and foster a positive sports culture within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sports Session Delivery

• Conduct regular physical education and sports training sessions.
• Focus on developing fitness, motor skills, and sport-specific techniques.
• Ensure inclusive participation and engagement of all students.

2. Life Skills Development

• Leverage sports as a medium to build teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills.
• Promote values such as perseverance, sportsmanship, and emotional resilience.

3. Event Management

• Organize intra-school and inter-school sports events and activities.
• Plan and execute tournaments, sports days, and competitions.
• Coordinate logistics and ensure smooth execution and participation.

4. Talent Identification & Mentorship

• Identify students with high potential in various sports.
• Mentor and guide students toward advanced training opportunities.
• Support and facilitate participation in district and state-level competitions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field.
• Prior experience in sports coaching or training is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students.
• Strong understanding of physical education, fitness, and sports techniques.
• Ability to conduct engaging, structured, and inclusive sports sessions.
• Familiarity with sports rules, safety protocols, and injury prevention.
• Strong leadership, motivation, and team-building skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Event planning, coordination, and basic logistics management skills.
• Basic documentation and reporting proficiency.
